We Move Forward with Quality and Trust in Aluminum
Aluminum, which is frequently used in various sectors such as construction, electricity and transportation energy, enables the operation of many vehicles we use in our daily lives. Therefore, they are very important raw materials. Aluminum, which has a wide range of uses, is also very important in consumer products and packaging business. Therefore, it is among the raw materials whose quality should be questioned.
Aluminum Quality
The presence of a maximum of %0.25 iron in aluminum extrusion products used for architecture is important for the decorative appearance of the profile after anodizing and the quality of the anodizing process.
Profile tolerances and dimensions must be within the values specified in the standards and surface quality must be taken into consideration. The conformity of anodizing and electrostatic painting, which are the main processes performed on aluminum, to the relevant standards must be checked. In anodizing, anodizing thickness and detection quality; in painting, the factors that need the most attention are surface preparation before painting and the quality of the paint used, the thickness of the paint layer and the degree of adhesion.
In painted aluminum products, one of the various paint alternatives such as polyester pvdf, plastisol based etc. should be preferred depending on the weather conditions and the effect of the sun. The issues specified in the standards are valid for flat products used for architectural purposes. In casting products, in addition to the desired temper and alloy compliance, there should be no gas voids and cracks in the oil of the product.
The Turkish Standards Institute has prepared standards for aluminum products. It is the responsibility of users and businesses to choose products that comply with these standards.
